Wayne Hunter of Hunters Eye Photography is one of the most talented photographers in the automotive industry. I don’t say that because he’s taken some of my favorite shots of me driving, but he is genuinely underrated.
Wayne has been trying to catch up with me for a shoot for a little while initially to do the refresh of my SC, but schedules never aligned. However a few weeks ago they finally did, and the M3 was “done”.
We had a rainy day but it still made for a fun day. Wayne was shooting for Stance Auto Mag, a UK based publication.
I’ve always wanted to shoot here but it is fenced off. It is an old demolished dealership. We snuck in and immediately were asked to leave by security. I was able to convince him to give us 3 min. as long as we promised not to do burnouts. Of course as soon as we left a Challenger came and started doing donuts.
The finished set is simply amazing. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Hope to find an idler to replace it.Protecting PS lines from heat.I had a random panic that SSR sent me the wrong lug pattern. I didn’t plan to test fit these until the very end. But I needed a win.repairing crack in seat.Removing vinyl eyelids to make fiberglass ones.Shops were quoting me no less that 2k PER SEAT to reupholster my seats. So I decided to clean and redye them myself as well as recover the cushions in an orange gradation. Matching shift bootMore progress on eyelids.glass reinforcement done.These eye bolts are never in the right thread. Made my own.Rough outline of eyelids done. Trimming to size then skim coat and sanding after.Overspray all over exhaust. Not just overspray, primer, base coat and clear. I had to use a razor blade, and wire brush. Then polish to clean up.PPF. Im going to have to redo this.Grille way too bright.Prepping side skirts. These took entirely too long to install. Car on its own weight for the first time since it came home from paint.FILTHYFINALLY figured out why my A Pillar covers would not fit. Happy to have these back. Purp headliner is so lux.HD clamps and no more sliders. Seat was moving way too much under hard turns.Out for the first time in 2025!I tried to rinse off the grime and dirt but it needs a deep cleaning and probably a claybar.UV tint looks great.Car was breaking up after first test drive. While cleaning plugs I found a major boost leak.Replaced plugs.various homies.
Life been lifing. I have been off the internet for a while and its been a pleasure. Doing this for the enjoyment.
I am very happy with how the car is turning out. I still have a short somewhere blowing my tail light and radio fuses, need to wrap the roof, add a few more stickers and graphics, and I am supposed to be getting a GT wing for my spare trunk.
